Since my early age, I have always been drawn to understand how our minds work and how our experiences impact us as a person. This led me to study Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. I completed my doctorate degree in 2014, with research focusing on anxiety disorders.
Throughout my career, I have worked in public hospitals and community mental health, private hospitals, and private practices both in Brisbane and Perth.
I believe that everyone has capacity to grow. My goals are to walk with you through your journey of understanding yourself, provide you with a space where you feel seen and understood, and to support you in feeling more confident to be your own #1 support.
When I am not at work, I love exploring the bush with my loyal companion, Jack; reading; or singing my heart out in the car/shower.
My approach is to balance compassionate, therapeutic counseling with evidence-based treatments.
I see individuals aged 18+ presenting with a range of mental health difficulties (depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, OCD, etc).
I have a special interest in supporting clients who experience difficulties stemming from family origins (self-esteem, communication difficulties, interpersonal difficulties). I am trained in several evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I aim to not only help you reduce your symptoms, but also create deeper understanding and long-lasting changes in your life.
I am also passionate on supporting other health professionals (medical, nursing, and allied health), especially those who are early career, in developing self-confidence and coping strategies for sustainable practice.
I feel privileged to be part of my client's journey. I welcome people from all walks of life. I am Neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQI+ allied, and CALD friendly.
I can provide therapy in both English and Indonesian.
